Hello everyone
The wk end was most enjoyable , but went by way to fast. I still am sore from yard work and working in my garden.
I want to tell you about something that is near and dear to my heart. I lost one of my closest friends to breast cancer August 2009. The office she worked in ( I say that just to let you know who is getting this together because she was as dear to them as she was to me) has published a cookbook "Cooking for a Cure". Over 400 recipes have been submitted. This will be an awesome cookbook and the proceeds will go directly to Breast cancer research. If you are interested please leave me a comment with information to contact you. The books are 20.00 and will be well worth every dollar collected. I would love to share a piece of my friends life through this wonderful tribute to her. Thanks in advance to all who may be interested.

Saturday my favorite
I am loving this day. Spring is in the air. This is my favorite season. Everythig budding and getting green. It truly makes everything alive and new.
I am getting ready to head out to my flower garden for a little maintenance from the winter. I love looking at all my flowers that pop up. No matter how cold it gets they never disappoint me. I haven't been gardening long enough to remember all the names or when they are suppose to bloom, but that is part of the surprise. I have mostly perineals, but I like to add annuals to the mix.
I always plant alot of herbs. My husband just brought in a box filled with all different kinds. I hope I am not jumping the gun by planting them this early. You never know about Ky weather.
This afternoon we will be attending our Granddaughters birthday party. We will get to see alot of our little ones there. Some are not so little anymore. The oldest is almost 16 yrs old and the youngest is 1 yr old. I will try to get some good pictures for you to see. I will have to figure out how to downlaod them to my blog. The 1 yr old may be 16 before I figure it out.
I hope it is a good day where you are.
I need to get to work. Until later

Today
Until today I have wondered what I would say on a blog. My life seems to be full of unexpected occurences so I decided to share. First of all I love life. I try to look at each experience as a learning oppurtunity, however when things happen you kind of wonder what the hell is happening. Example: today work on time(a struggle not the job just being on time) On the way I felt as though something with my car may not be exactly right. Ignore it will go away. Make it to work. I am not in the car again until 3:30. I have an appt. across town 4:00 did not want to cancel because very hard to reschedule. This is a program offered by the University Of Kentucky for ovarian screening, free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome and very lucky to have this available to us. Certain guidelines apply (must be 50 or family history(the first is my entrance into this wonderful experience) everything is healthy(that they could find, the ovaries have a way of shrinking with age. Doesn't everything) Did I mention I love life????????? I leave my appointment heading for home and a fun night with my husband and friends. In traffic the guy behind me is flagging his arms and trying to get someones attention. Could it be me????? Want to think he is flirting, but he is telling me my tire is low. I pull on to a street I am not familiar with, but sure it would lead me to a safe haven until someone (my husband) could get there to help me. I back into a spot on an unknown street hitting curb and completely knocking tire off of rim. I sat patiently waiting for my knight in shining armour to rescue me. I didn't mention the running into curb, do you think he knew? He is a great guy and must really love me to put up with all my antics(none of which I plan). He changed my tire. I drove home on the play tire that was in my trunck. He gave me special instructions before we headed home. Do not go over 60 mph. This was very hard for me. I am so thankful to be home. I was able to have dinner with friends and played it off as if it was a normal evening(it was for me) Until next time. Rosie
